East Bali

East Bali is a large region with a natural habitat ranging from lush forests and black sand beaches to barren gravel plains and an active volcano.

Mighty Mount Agung, Bali's highest volcano, looms large over the whole of East Bali and hosts Bali's holiest of temples - Pura Besakih.

Amed

On the far eastern point, the area is collectively known as 'Amed' is an increasingly popular and ever charming long stretch of coral reef coastline and traditional fishing villages. The pace of life in Amed is slow, daily life is very traditional and the coastal scenery quite stunning making it the perfect place for a relaxed beach vacation.

The area has great scuba diving and snorkeling sites with robust and healthy coral reefs, sandy and rocky beaches and great views of Mt. Agung and Lombok. People vacation in Amed to the enjoy the ocean and see a more unique and authentic Bali. The area is very laid back and quiet escaping the mass tourism of the south and the Ubud area.
